In collaboration with Alpedo Kervan Patisseries and Lang Yüzer Holding, an industrial dry ice production facility has been opened.

“Pazarcık” – The Narlı Quarter industry will produce dry ice used to ship Kahramanmaraş ice cream. The opening ceremony was attended by AK party Kahramanmaraş deputy İmran Kılıç, mayor Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, provincial vice-president of the AKP party Ahmet Alıcı, mayor Yakup Hamdi Bozdag and a large number of relatives and citizens. Mehmet Yüzer, Aziz Yüzer and Ismet Yüzer made the opening speech of Ly & K “dry ice” production partners.

After the opening speech, Kahramanmaraş’s deputy made a speech to the AKP party İmran Kılıç, saying that this facility was very necessary for the ice cream town of Kahramanmaraş. Metropolitan Mayor Fatih Mehmet Erkoç talked about this investment and said that Kahramanmaraş Ice Cream would gain a reputation. Pazarcık Mayor Yakup Hamdi Bozdag said that Kervan Pastry Shop is an important investment in the city. Alpedo Kervan Patisserie CEO Sami Kervancıoğlu said: “Congratulations to our country and our city”.

Grundprinzipien des Managements

Das Grundmerkmal der Trockeneis-Reinigungsmethode beruht auf der Verwendung von Kohlendioxid (CO2) -Gas bei 0,03% an Luft. Das Kohlendioxidgas hat eine kalte Temperatur von -78 ° C unter normalen Bedingungen in der Atmosphäre. Diese Glasur verfestigt sich bei einer bestimmten Temperatur von der Gasform. Dieser feste Zustand des Gases wird in der populären Sprache als “Trockeneis” bezeichnet. Das CO2-Gas, das in die Poren der Eismaschine gesprüht wird, wird durch eine gewisse Hitze in Frost umgewandelt. Das so erhaltene Trockeneis wird mit einem Druck von 100-300 m / s auf die zu reinigende Oberfläche aufgesprüht. Aufgrund der kinetischen Energie, die aus der Trockeneis-Explosionskombination freigesetzt wird, werden unerwünschte Schichten und Schmutz auf den verschmutzten Oberflächen gereinigt.

Die Verwendung dieser Methode in der industriellen Reinigung ist attraktiver als andere Reinigungsmethoden. Aufgrund der Methode werden die organischen Lösungsmittel und schädlichen Kohlenwasserstoffe, die für die Umwelt schädlich sind, durch andere Reinigungsmethoden deaktiviert. Es gibt nur noch wenige Reste, die durch die Entfernung von Schichten und Schmutz zurückbleiben. Darüber hinaus wirkt sich dieses Verfahren nur auf die obere Oberfläche der zu reinigenden Formen aus und es gibt keine Nebenwirkung mit Parametern, die die Eigenschaften der Formen verändern werden.

Properties of CO’2

The graph below (p, T) shows the state of existence of CO2 gas depending on temperature and pressure.

CO2 gas is a gas that is colorless, odorless, non-flammable and tastes good. It is found in volcanoes and ground layers in large proportions. It arises from the change of animal and human materials.

If this gas concentration exceeds 0.05% in air, the oxygen content in the atmosphere decreases and it makes breathing difficult. This gas is 40% heavier than air.

Therefore, it is found in close regions. It is necessary to be careful in closed places. In such places, ventilation and suction systems must be found. Normal ventilation through windows and doors is sufficient to achieve a normal CO2 concentration.

Dry Ice – Pieces

Dry Ice Parts – Manufactured by means of a Pore (Ice Making Machine) called Pellets. Liquid CO2 is sprayed into the porosity. The snow that comes out of this process is transformed into cold bouquets by means of a hydraulic pump and shaped by means of this bouquet mold. Thus, ice particles (Brass size) are formed with a diameter of approximately 3 mm and a length of 8 mm.

The dry ice particles are then transported to the field of use with large ice storage containers, offering use.

A new generation of mould cleaning technology

LKY Kältetechnik und Dienstleistungs GmbH, based in Gross-Umstadt, has been supplying dry ice cleaning solutions for over a decade. The standout features of this manual dry ice cleaning method are the way it protects surfaces, the fact that the blast material does not have to be disposed of, and its flexibility.

The CO2 robot represents a new generation of mould cleaning technology in the form of a system that is programmed to suit individual applications and can be used for practically any industrial mould. Speed, safety and ease of use are the principles on which this robot is based.

Cleaning processes are an important part of industrial production.

In addition to mechanical and chemical cleaning methods, there are a whole range of processes that use water, sand, plastic or glass beads as blasting agents. The disadvantages of these methods are that the abrasive nature of the blasting agents causes wear, they incur costs for disposal and treatment of the contaminated blasting agents, and they involve downtimes for the production facilities.

Cleaning with dry ice pellets offers an alternative that is kind to both materials and the environment.

Information about the blasting medium and how it works:


The blasting medium
Liquid carbon dioxide is stored in a low-pressure tank at approximately 20 bar and at a temperature of around -20°C. When sprayed into a pelletising cylinder, it forms carbon dioxide gas and carbon dioxide snow as a result of cooling and expansion to the ambient pressure. This snow, which has a temperature of approximately -78°C, is compacted and then pressed through a pelletising matrix. This produces dry ice pellets measuring around 3 mm in diameter and 10 mm in length.

How it works
The pellets are accelerated to 100 – 300 m/s using compressed air. They are then sprayed on to the surface to be cleaned by means of special nozzles. When this happens, the blast medium supercools the surface at specific points and removes unwanted coatings and impurities. It is the combination of cold temperatures, kinetic energy and an “explosive” change of state (sublimation) by the dry ice pellets that makes this method particularly suitable for industrial cleaning processes.
